((Aww, not at all! We need someone! What a chibi character! :-D))
Tohru followed Momiji quickly, out of breath by the time they found the site of the burning. It seemed a building in between the trees had caught fire. Tohru's mouth fell open. Buildings didn't usually catch fire all on their own, right? Plus it was late at night. Someone must be inside!
The situation was even more frantic. If the fire wasn't put out, it would catch from one tree to the next! Shigure's household was in danger, too! "Momiji!" Tohru cried, entranced by the horror of what was before her. "I think someone's in there! A-a fire..." Stunned, she did the only thing she could think of doing. She ran up to the house, hoping beyond anything else that she could still help anyone who might be trapped inside.
As she neared the burning house, she began to inhale too much smoke. Coughing, she shielded her eyes against the haze and stared at the building. It looked fairly dilapidated. Windows were boarded up. The front door seemed locked, but Tohru moved closer and tried it anyway. Something on the other side was preventing it from opening. Maybe a fallen ceiling beam, or something of the sort.
That was when she heard the screaming.
"Please!! Please...someone help me!"
Someone was caught inside! Whoever it was, it now seemed more important that she find another way in.
As she ran around the back, she began to wonder where Momiji and Hiro had gone. She'd left them a few paces away from the house. Now, she was beginning to feel scared and wished they were nearby. She was even more sick with worry that she might not be able to help whoever was inside. She looked around, but there didn't seem a suitable place to climb through. There were various holes in the walls of the building, but they were all far too small for even her to fit through.
It seemed the voice was getting louder. She seemed to be going the right way, anyway. Tohru yelled back. "Can you hear me? Hello?! I'm trying to find a way to you! How did you get in?!" Anxiety filled her, the smoke tearing at her eyes. She balled her fists, trying to remain calm.

Momiji choked on the smoke as he quickly approached the house. Shielding his eyes from the dazzling flames, he heard a small voice crying for help, and a bird's anxious squaking. "Tohru? What are you doing? No, stop! You could get hurt!" Momiji screamed as Tohru, being the ever caring one, raced towards the house in search of a way to get inside. Momiji's heart pounded and he jumped up and down nervously. "Aahhh...whatdoIdo whatdoIdo?!" Momiji stuttered nervously, his heart leaping inside his chest. He spotted a large rock on the edge of the clearing and he quickly ran over to it. Groaning slightly, he hoisted the rock up and balanced it on his collerbone as he struggled towards the house. Spotting a crack in the far corner of the shack, he hurled the stone towards it, the old and molding wood splintering under the weight. He sidestepped over to his hole in the wall, and could spot a girl and a large bird cowering inside. "Tohru! TOHRU! I made a way in!" Momiji called as the flames lept higher, licking at the air, burning through the small house, the trapped girl's last salvation smoldering away... The smoke collum coiled high in the early dawn sky, and the fire crackled and popped as it fed deviously on the grasses and shrubs around the tumbledown shed. "Hiro? Hiro are you still there?" Momiji called through the smoke. He could no longer see the path where Hiro possibly still stood, nor could he see the other side of the house where Tohru was. "If you're still there, we need water! The fire is spreading! Please you have to do something," Momiji begged, tears streaming down his face. Blindly, he staggered around on the ground, crawling into the undergrowth, searching for another stone. Finally, his fingertips brushed against one, and he fumbled with picking it out of the mossy earth. Carrying it awkwardly, he stumbled towards the sound of the girls cries and the heat of the flames. Blinking heavily, he managed to see where the hole in the wall was and thrust the stone at it. The sound of crunching wood informed him that he had hit his target. "Can you see me?" he called to the girl trapped inside. He took a few tentative steps towards the burning building. He streached out his hand blindly, feeling towards the heat. "There's a hole in the wall! Over here, please, I'm begging you," he choked, snot and tears spilling over his face, the smoke burning his eyes, scorching his throat. He coughed violently and reached out his hand again. "Please, I'm begging you, just find the hole...please..." The smoke was becoming unbearable and the heat burned at his skin, and he twisted uncomfortably away. "Just...grab my hand..." he gasped. He could only stand there for a few more moments...the smoke was choking him, his lungs pleading for oxygen. "Please..." Momiji begged, one last time, his eyes squeezed shut against the stifling plumes of black smoke. And suddenly, he felt something brush against his hand... *** OOC: Wow *sniff* Momiji is so heroic! ;_;

((OOC: ;__; So heroic...))
Stella was coughing numerous times. A great amount of smoke had entered her lungs, the heat blinded her eyes with tears, and the fear of dying such a cruel way fogged her mind. The only comfort with her was Mr. Puffy-Fluffel-Kins, who returned to her quick. She thought of this sign that there was no human life around them.
Cringing in the dirt and heated area, she curled up into a ball with the over-sized bird in her arms. "It's...ok Mr. Puffy-" She ended quickly to cough - not even a raspy voice could allow her to speak so long. "Least we'll die togeth-" She coughed. Cringing here and there, yelping from the flames that licked her dirt covered skin, she heard a voice.
Slowly she tried to open her eyes but couldn't due to the immense heat. She now had the only instinct that would help her in this situation - her hearing. She closed her eyes hearing her surroundings, blocking the sound of flames all around her. "I-I'm here!!" She shrieked in her raspy voice. With a shaky hand she extended forward, her other arm holding Mr. Puffy-Fluffel-Kins close to her.
Finally...she found a hand. "I'm here!!" She continued to shriek as flames continued to lick her skin. She yelped terribly as a falling piece of flamed wood fell on her leg, twisting a few bones. However, she continued her way trying to cring towards the voice and help the hand move her to safety. "Help...help...please..." She murmured as her concious seemed to slowly disappear but she continued to keep it until she was finally to safety.

(OOC: Yay! You are back!)
With tears streaming down his face, Momiji extended his hand, the smoke charring and burning his lungs. The smoke pressed against his nose and mouth like a blanket and he licked his cracked lips shakily. Gasping for air, Momiji stumbled closer to the heat, ignoring his body's cry to escape.
"Please..." Momiji coughed, feeling the darkness seeping up to claim him, the flames crackling ominously all around, the prospect of failure looming around him.
And then, a hand brushed against his.
For a second, Momiji's heart stopped. And suddenly, he felt a rush of adrenaline. Yes!
He grabbed the other hand in his, reaching out with his other to grasp it tightly. "Hold on to me!" Momiji coughed, pulling his arms out of the debris, the splinters of wood scraping against his bare arms. He couldn't open his eyes, but instinct drove him to back away from the heat.
He could hear steps in front of him and the coughing of another human. The crackling of the flames popped around his feet as the fire seeped and spread to the dry grasses.
Finally, he felt the other person stumble out of the hole in the side of the building. Clutching her hand, Momiji lead her blindly backward to safety. He clutched her tightly, his soot covered and blistered arms wrapping around her.
"It's OK," he said in a scratchy voice."You are safe now," he whispered. Tears flowed through the crusted clumps of singed eyelashes and left paths down his dirty burned face as he felt relief wash over him.
In the background, he heard a horrible splintering noise, and then with an earth shuddering crunch, felt the whole structure buckle and crumble to the blackened forest floor.
He could hear the muffled protests of a bird, and Momiji released the girl, feeling the bird that she clutched to her chest. He clawed at his eyes with his fingernails, trying to open them.
Finally, he pulled them apart, eyes burning, and looked into the face of the girl he rescued. A small smile formed on his dry lips and he wiped the tears from his face with his singed bathrobe.
"I'm so glad you are safe," he whispered in a fire singed voice, his throat burning. And then, from fatigue, he sunk to his knees, the blackness overwhelming him as he sunk into a soothing unconsciousness at the feet of the girl, his burned and exhausted body resting on the blackened earth.

((OOC: Yep! I'll try to return as much as possible, but it seems that this place has died... ._. It's quite a shame...))
So many times had Stella wanted to close her eyes and let them stayed close forever, but she continued to keep her concious and listened to the soothing voice that saved her. She couldn't tell if it was an angel, for it sounded soft, even if it were scratchy or raspy.
She closed her eyes tighter at the sound of crumbling wood. It made her cringe knowing subconciously that it was the 'hideout' that her and Mr. Puffy-Fluffel-Kins had founded. But now it was gone. Hugging the little bird closer to her she sniffled quietly, holding back tears that stung her closed eyes. The smell of burning drift wood, burned her nose and lungs and she gasped as she felt arms escape her small figure.
Releasing her hug on the rather big bird, her small hands immediately went to her eyes. She scratched at them with her palms and rubbed them with the back of her hands. They were immediately irritated by her ash covered hands, but she was able to open them ever so slowly. She blinked as they burned from the clean air now, but they adjusted from blurry to clear.
She blinked slowly, but turned around once she felt someone's presence. She looked up to see chocolate brown eyes and tilted her head. This was her savior? He looked rather young, like her age. Her chapped lips curled into a slight smile as he whispered kind words, but she gasped breathlessly as he fell to his feet.
"A-Are you ok?" She managed to cough out clearly before falling to her knees and pull an arm under his neck. She lifted him to place his head on her lap. "Any body? Please! Help!" She called out around her wondering if there would be anyone else that could help them. She was at a lost. Her foot was twisted and couldn't walk much, and plus, a person she didn't know was hurt. "Don't die, mister! Please!" She continued to plead tears starting to fill her eyes.
"Mr. Puffy-Fluffel-Kins! What am I gonna do?! I can't leave him! And-And, you're too small to walk to civilization!" She shrieked, tears falling from her face as she shook the boy lightly to wake him up. 'Don't die, don't die!' She cried in her mind.

Momiji stirred, trying to open his eyes. All of a sudden, the pain washed over him and Momiji gasped. He heard another person's voice above him and he tried to move or open his eyes to let them know he was okay. But he was too weak, too tired.
He felt a hand brush over his face, pushing the hair back from his forehead. Or was it just his imagination. Slowly, Momiji forced his watering, burning eyes to open, the image of the girl slowly washing in front of his face.

Tears stained Stella's face. She knew that the boy that was in her arms - the one to have saved her from a horrible accident - was still alive, but still, pain was just parallel to death for her. She choked on her tears, and did her best to rub them away. She had never cried so much since the day her parents asked her who she was.
She ceased her cries to light gasps before staring down at the boy. She could tell he was a foreigner, like her, but from what she could scarcely recall, he spoke Japanese. She sniffled silently before moving a hand across his cheeks to remove excess ash. The smoke had barely cleared from where she sat.
A gasp came from Stella as she stared at the boy opening his eyes. "Y-You're awake!?" She asked in an exclamation, feeling great overwhelming come to her. She was amazed that he was still intact. But of course, she was really happy.
