'From above, a rain of ashes,(anathema)DESCENDS ANATHEMA
I will remain, forever will remain
From below, in my seclusion,(Paper wings)LOOK UP TO THE SKY TO SEE
See wings, AND WATCH THEM BURN'
The music blasted from the surprisingly small speakers, able to carry the song loud, bouncing off the walls of the room and leaking out into the hall so the rest of the house would hear part of it as well.
The room was on the smaller side, though still managed to be comfortably packed with the needs of a teenage girl, including piles upon piles of books. Upon entering, one would see in the far right corner of the room was a bed, nestled in the corner of the room next to the window, while to the far left was a desk and swivel chair. Beside that were shelves full of different books and notebooks, as well as the occasional stuffed animal and random article of clothing. Near her bed was a small closet, where most everything else was stuffed, which left some room in the middle part of the room to move around in, which was usually where Kiku would dance about when she got hyper, while blasting music from her speakers on her bedside table nearby, such as now. The room was a flourish of random posters on white washed walls, with blue curtains on the windows to match her bed coverings. Posters of beautiful landscapes, her favourite movies and books, and a few anime posters even were hung wherever she could fit them and still make the room look nice, while a pile of manga and pencils scattered across her desk.
Kiku smiled, sitting in her swiveling chair, moving her head in time with the music, mouthing the words to the song. Daichi layed sprawled out on her bed, watching her curiously through his green gaze. The black cat meowed for attention, and Kiku spun her chair around to face the cat with a smile, it was amusing how used to the blasting music Daichi was. "Yes kitty?" Kiku asked, getting to her feet and leaped onto the bed, causing the cat to twist over to his belly and stare at Kiku like she was crazy. "Oh stop that," Kiku stuck out her tongue, petting the cat's head. Kiku jumped back off her deep blue bedsheets with different lighter blue designs, and walked over to her desk and spinny chair, where she plopped down and pushed herself off, spinning in quick circles. Kiku laughed as she spun about in the chair, singing along with the lyrics as she did so, until a shout from the rooms below caused her to stop.
"Kiku! Turn down that music and help me do the dishes and set up dinner!" Kiku's mother called loudly. It was amazing how she could still make herself heard from over all the noise. Kiku sighed and pulled her spinning chair to a stop, getting up and turning her iPod speakers off before slowly making her way downstairs. She turned into the kitchen of the small, yet comfortable house, soon spotting her mother working on dinner. Kiku sighed, and started washing the dishes idly. Once she was done, she shook her hands out, grabbing a dish towel to finish the job, and let the plates dry by the air rather then rubbing them dry, it was not only more sanitary, but gave Kiku less to do. Her mother smiled and thanked her, before telling her what to set out and prepare for dinner. As Kiku just finished getting out the clean dishes, she heard a knock at the door. Exchanging a curious glance with her mother, Kiku quickly ran up to the door and opened it carefully, peeking through to see who it was.
